T.G.I.F.

This week has been a very busy week full of: work, frustration, heat, cold, tears, anguish, guilt, anxiety and the like.  It’s been a pretty noteworthy week, that’s for sure.  It seems as though many things in my life are occurring at the same time, as it often does in life.

I’m glad that the week is nearly over. Time is going by rather quickly, and we’re in a little bit of a “panic mode”, because we’re not thinking we’ll be able to finish and move out of here, in another few weeks…

Today, I’ll be working hard, and tomorrow I’ll be doing more of the same.  But, I look forward to visiting some friends around dusk on Saturday, so that we have a chance to just talk, reflect, laugh, drink some tea, and just chill for a little while.

I’ll be very happy once this is all over and we’re already on the road. At that point, it’ll be time to enjoy the road, take photos, talk, lay back and watch life fly by.

I hope to have the overwhelming feeling of satisfaction once this move is completely over, and once we finally reach our destination.  The only problem is, that’s when the work will start all over again!

HELP!

Since we started this journey and are preparing for the move, it’s been really stressful, busy, tiring, and nerve wracking.

I e-mailed, called and told people (by mouth) about all the stuff going on in my life and how busy I am with everything.  Do you know, that NOBODY offered to help us with the move, or cleaning? (forgive me if I forgot someONE who did, )

It makes me realise that most people are in it for the taking and are not willing to help, even if for just a few hours to help a family out.

I just barely re-emailed everyone I know and let them know I’m seeking help from any person willing to give it, in our area.  I hope to hear some responses back… But, I won’t be holding my breath.

Packing and prepping is not fun at all, no one likes to do it, but if someone helps someone else, it makes things easier on both parties, not more difficult.

So, if you’re out there and willing to help! Come on down! We’d be ever so grateful for your help!

Maybe You Should Listen

Sometimes people choose to shield other relatives or friends from the truth, for years on end. But, in fact those people deserve to hear the truth and not have information withheld from them, in order to move on with their lives.

I know a lot of unanswered questions lead to confusion and a lot of feelings left frayed at the end.

When people listen to only one side of the story, they are really shortchanged and they have no idea about the FACT of things, but only know of  that one version of the “truth”.

I have recently found out some things that I hadn’t previously known and it is a vast difference than the things I was always told.  It leaves me a little confused and shocked by the lack of honesty on the part of one party.  I feel cheated and brainwashed, quite frankly.

It’s going to take me quite some time to sift through the years of lies I’ve been told, and try and accept this new version of the “truth”.

But, I think every person deserves to hear two sides to every story. As much as the information hurts or doesn’t hurt, it’s important to let everyone have the opportunity to know all the details involved and go from there.

So, if you’re someone seeking the truth or someone who has been shielding someone you know from the truth, remember that the decision you make is pivotal and will possibly cause a lot of happiness or grief (on the other hand), depending on what you choose to do.

So, CHOOSE to take part in making someone’s life better and clarifying things for them, instead of causing a lot of pain to someone and leaving the person with a lot of unanswered questions.

You are the key to making a difference…
