Since last blogging entry, many things have happened. I guess that last e-mail I sent to everyone in this community, really revved people up, because nearly all of our furniture is gone.
I have a few pieces left, but that’s about it. I had to call the GOODWILL and cancel their supposed pick-up of my donations. If there are any items left by the end of our stay here, I’ll just call them up again and let them pick up all the last minute pieces.
We’ve been getting somewhere with the paperwork, and shredding important papers endlessly, but there’s still plenty more to do. My husband and I have been doing a lot of things in and out of the home, to prepare for the move.
I think by now, pretty much everyone knows that we’ll probably be in this state for another month or so, and then we’ll be gone. Still have to figure out just exactly what needs to be done before we leave, but I have a list which is growing by the day.
The funny thing is, as I pack things, and turn around to grab something, my son decides to unpack things and I’m back to square one. I wish I could get ahold of a friend who had a young child, around my sons age to play with him, as the ladies talk, and I work on packing and trashing things.
We’ll get there, I’m sure and in the end, if our time approaches, and there are till tons of thing, the trash bin is where they’ll go, so that’s what I tell myself to keep myself from getting overwhelmed. We’ll get there, I hope, someday.
